Maria Eugenia, a Salvadorian artist sensible to her surroundings has decided to capture and preserve in accord with her personality what art is through her paintings, celebrated in the sense of the colors, the light, and the detail.
She resides in Miami since 1980, which makes her a well-recognized artist in both the American and Hispanic communities.

Maria Eugenia began her studies with the Salvadorian painter, Victor Manuel Rodriguez Preza. Under his tutelage, she familiarized herself with charcoal drawing and techniques in oil. Later she studied under the late Cuban artist, Alfonso Rodriguez Pichardo, who introduced her to pastels. In 1986 Maria Eugenia began to study watercolors and she has had the opportunity to take workshops with some of the most renowned artists in the country as well as internationally.
Maria Eugenia has participated in numerous exhibitions since 1986, in which she has received diverse honors. She has been published in The Marquis Who's Who of American Women, Twenty Third Edition, 2002-2003 and in The Marquis Who's Who in the World Twenty First Edition 2004. ( See Resume ).

In her paintings she utilizes vivid colors where she demonstrates refined techniques and her own personality through the joy of living, optimism, and a song to life.
With a delicate love for the brush, Maria Eugenia transmits to us the variety of beauty that is found in humanity and in nature.

BIOGRAFIA

María Eugenia pintora salvadoreña, sensible a su entorno, ha decidido capturar y preserverar acorde a su personalidad lo que es el arte a través de su pintura, grande en el sentido de los colores, de la luz y el detalle.
Reside en la ciudad de Miami desde 1980, lo cual la hace ser reconocida pintora de la comunidad americana e hispana.

María Eugenia inició sus estudios con el pintor salvadoreño Victor Manuel Rodríguez Preza, con quien se familiarizó con el dibujo a lápiz y carboncillo y aprendió las técnicas del oleo. Luego recibe clases con el fallecido pintor cubano, Alfonso Rodriguez Pichardo, quien la introduce al pastel. En 1986 comienza a estudiar las técnicas de la acuarela, habiendo tenido la oportunidad de tomar talleres con los mejores artistas de el pais e internacionales.
María Eugenia ha participado en exposiciones desde 1986 en las que ha recibido diversas distinciones. Ha sido publicada en The Marquis Who's Who of American Women, Twenty Third Edition, 2002-2003 y en The Marquis Who's Who in the Twenty First Edition 2004. (Ver Resume).

En su pinturas utiliza vivos colores donde refleja una depurada técnica y su personalidad a través de la alegria de vivir, el optimismo y el canto a la vida.
Con un delicado amor al pincel, María Eugenia nos transmite la variedad de belleza que se encuentra en la humanidad y en la naturaleza.
